Downtown Santa Rosa Sidewalk Repairs

We are getting serious about sidewalk repairs in our neighborhood. In July 2017 we submitted over $60,000 in Community Improvement Grant (CIG) requests to pay for a complete inventory of sidewalk conditions as well as for money to offset some of the repair costs for property owners. Also we are looking to create a co-operative contract for repairs to drive costs down for each property owner. See complete plan here.

The Community Advisory Board meeting where the fate of the grant applications will be decided is Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 5:30 pm. The location is 637 First Street across from City Hall in the first floor conference room. Your attendance would be appreciated.

Before then please take the time to respond to our survey about sidewalk conditions and also our non-binding petition to add urgency to this issue when communicating with the City. Anyone and everyone is invited to fill in the survey and sign the petition. Young or old, tenant or owner, resident or visitor, registered to vote or not…Everybody should get involved and pass along invitations, too.

We may launch another petition in the future which would be legally binding as part of a local initiative process, if needed.
